If you’re using Astropad Studio and the iPad Pro as a digitizer, you’ll probably have one hand poised over your keyboard and the other using the iPad. The Pencil becomes your mouse pointer, with the ability to pass along Pencil-specific gesture data as needed. It’s important to note that Astropad Studio isn’t limited to specific applications, nor does it require plug-ins or other hooks. Instead of shrinking the application window, you could focus Astropad Studio on areas and move the view as needed. But when I get an M1 Mini I will instantly try out some audio apps with Astropad Studio combined with Luna Display. Will audio apps work with Astropad Studio? I don't have a clue. I imagine it will be like having Aftertouch for controlling a parameter. Considering the resolution that Pencil works with graphics apps, how amazing it would be at controlling a DAW or a plugin parameter? And then I read about customizable pressure curves for the Pencil. It also occurred to me that Apple Pencil works directly with Astropad Studio. It is like instantly turning you iPad into a Slate Raven. However, after reading about unlimited customizable shortcuts, I started to think about how this feature alone would be an amazing feature for Logic and Luna and Melodyne Studio and Reason Rack and maybe even UAD plugin parameters. I'd not really looked at Astropad Studio's capabilities in depth before because I had little interest in graphic artistry. Then I clicked on a few of their links, including a link about how Luna Display and Astropad Studio are now able to work together.
